Users & permissions
Give each teammate an account and control the areas they can view or change.
Settings → Users and User groups
Before you begin
- The teammate’s name, work email and intended responsibilities.
- Permission to manage users and security groups.
How to use it
- 1
Review the security group
Open User groups and check the permissions for the intended role. Use a group that matches the person’s actual work.
- 2
Create the user
In Users, add the teammate’s details and select the appropriate group. Review employee and chat-related settings when relevant.
- 3
Send the activation invitation
Use the activation or invitation controls for the account. The teammate completes their profile and password setup through that invitation.
- 4
Check the account state
Review whether the account is active or waiting for an invitation response. Use Resend invitation only when needed.
- 5
Maintain access
Update the group or account status as responsibilities change. Review permissions before granting broader access.

Common questions
Why can a user view an area but not edit it?
Read and write access can be separate. Check the permissions in the user’s assigned security group and the availability of the feature on your plan.
